Just found out about a surprising fact about a awesome feature that is included in the new Portal 2 game from Valve. Lets say that you have a PlayStation 3, and your friend has a PC or Mac. You can buy Portal 2 for the PlayStation 3, and your friend can buy it for the PC or Mac and be able to play with you in a multi-player game. That's right you and your friends can be on a PC, Mac, or PS3 and all play in the same game. Amazing right? This is the exact thing that I have been waiting for. No matter what platform you decide to purchase you can play with your friends no matter their platform of choice! I can't help but think about the future, where we will be able to just pop out our phones(assuming they'll be called that) to play games like portal 3. Now that would be just plain amazing! Enough said.

Also another great thing about buying the PS3 version of Portal 2 is that you'll apparently get a voucher to be able to add the game to your Steam account, so you could then play it on either the PS3, PC, or Mac with just one Purchase! This is so amazing, nice to see a company who values their customers and gives them tons of perks! Pay once for a game, play it on any platform you happen to be using.

Which bring me on to another point, that point being DRM(Digital Rights Management.) Steam has a realistic DRM approach, unlike some other companies. They have a offline mode for those times when you either don't have a connection currently available to use or your connection is too spotty to even log in. And, once logged in, if you loose internet access you don't get booted from your current game, unlike some other overly protective companies, pointing my finger at Ubisoft with their newest Assassins Creed release for the PC.
