Wolves coming to Minecraft!

After Notch promised someone that pets would be added to the game while at the GDC, we got a whole video uploaded showcasing the new wolves in the game! In the version that the video shows, the wolves will shake off water after being submerged in water and coming back onto land. They are also tamable by the player, who can then have them attack an unsuspecting victim; as evident in the video, those poor, poor, cows.

While watching the video I couldn’t help but think how cute the wolves are, and am now waiting anxiously for this update to hit the servers; but that could be awhile…

From watching the video it also appears you can have a whole pack of wolves following you around, protecting you, and providing good company! Now, I just can’t wait to see what other awesome additions they come up with, that will be added in the future to this wonderful game curation!
