The Garry's Mod Team has made Garry's Mod 10, it looks way better than gmod 9.
Gmod 9 and bellow were all free, but gmod 10 will cost around $10. I think gmod 10 will be worth the $10.
Gmod 9 will continue to be free, so try out gmod 9 and if you like it then buy gmod 10.
I do not own Garry's Mod 10 yet, but I will soon. I'll add more information about gmod 10 when I purchase it.
garrysmod.comI've have boughten the game a while ago, And I have to say, It was defiantly worth the purchase! The Q menu is improved by leaps and bounds! There are way more addons out there for it, and Garry releases updates regularly!
A new loading screen is included, so when you join a server(or start single player) it is way nicer to look at. The files your downloading are flying up and down from one side of the screen to the other(like a bobbing effect). It defiantly makes the loading times not so much of a pain! Which brings be the the next argument! Loading times still, well they are not short, sometimes its better to join a server, then leave your computer to go do a quick little something.
But the loading times aside, this game is way better than any previous version of the game! If you like sandbox type games, then I would defiantly recommend that you get this game!
Also if you have other games powered by the source engine, you can load whatever models from that game into Garry's Mod, So if you own Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life 2: Episode 1 and 2, then you will have tons of extra content to play around with.
Also there are a couple addons you should install when you get the game, because almost every Garry's Mod server out there has these addons on them. These include th following:
Garry's Mod aka gmod, is a sandbox for the awesome game Half-life 2
You can do a lot of cool and crazy things with gmod.
If you own Half-life 2 and haven't tried gmod before, then you should download it right now.
Garry recently made a new web site for gmod10, check it out at garrysmod.com
For gmod 9 and below go to gmod.garry.tv/oldLink currently doesn't work
