New Video card inbound

Well, in my previous post, I posted about a build up of dust in my card, and how it lasted for a day or two after I cleaned it out... Well some good news, I decided to get a new video card. Yes, very exciting, since I will be able to actually play games again. So, what card did I pick you may ask? Well after searching around for a bit, I decided to go with a Radeon HD 5750. Specifically a Sapphire HD 5750 with Vapor-x technology. Why did I choose this one? Well I was looking for a good card with a decent price tag, and not too much of a power consumer, so it would be easier on the electric bill. And this card delivered all that, and was still much more powerful than my old and malfunctioning HD 3850.

So all in all, I'm very happy with my new card. Will probably be posting more about this later on, as I want to see how good it runs with some of the newer games. But it tears up Counter-Strike:Source and Minecraft, and those are by no means graphics intensive. It also does very well in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, it's a lot more fun to play now that I'm getting a constantly good FPS in that game. If your computer can handle it(mainly power supply with enough watts and amps) then I would defiantly recommend this card to anyone looking for a good performance gaming/graphics card. And just as a reminder, make sure to ALWAYS install the latest drivers for your ATI card @ [ support.amd.com ]

It also does a lot better of a job in capturing video's of the games I'm paying, so a defiant plus there, as I will be able to make more in-game videos about stuff, hopefully entertaining stuff . And also will be able to live stream in the newer games and still be able to play the game, well I still need to try this in some of the newer games, but it should do fine considering the specs of the card.

And of course it can tear up in decoding 1080p HD videos, even my last card had no problem with that. But this card is just awesome. I even read some reviews where someone with this or an equivalent card was running like 2 games at once and streaming HD video to his TV and doing it all without any lag whatsoever. Now I haven't tested this myself, yet anyways(hehe,) now that's some power!
