A new version of Minecraft is here! Let all Minecrafters around rejoice! Well besides the ones who have modified servers, as it will take a day or two to get those back up and running as the mods are still not officially supported by the Mojang crew. But here's to hoping that in the future that will change!

The main attraction in Minecraft 1.3 was the beds, these beds allow you to, well, sleep in them to pass through the night. So no more waiting in your house at night-time if you don't want to, just hit the beds and be done with waiting through the night.

Another stellar feature of the new version of Minecraft is smooth lighting, see the video to see that in action! It looks much better!

The Function keys are now toggle-able, very nice if your recording something and want the HUD to be hidden as you no longer need to hold in the button while recording.

Another nice feature for video recorders is that you can have smooth scrolling enabled. Press F8 to use this awesome feature.

Another addition into the game was half slabs for cobblestone, wood, and sandstone on top of the already existing stone slabs.

Also some bugs were fixed, including the wood burning forever bug. So wood will no longer burn forever in some cases, as it did in the past.

Redstone repeaters are another addition which allow you to easily repeat signals that were so long that they died in the process. Also the Redstone now gets darker as the signal gets weaker and turns black all together when the signal is dead, making it easy to tell if your signal needs a repeater! Redstone repeaters also can act as a diode, since they only allow the signal to go one direction. In addition to these two items of interest, it can also act as a delayer, so once it receives input it waits for a specified amount of time before repeating that signal!

And as a final note, Lapis Lazuli(able to turn wool blue) now drops more per dropping.
